Raised on pasture and feed with NO antibiotics, hormones, GMOs, soy, corn, or wheat. Moved to new pasture daily in Joel Salatin style chicken tractors.

Now accepting deposits on 2024 chicken! Raised by GloriAnn Ensminger and will be ready for pick up at her family farm, Princeton MN, in June, August, and September. See order details below!

Chicken Purchasing Process:

Butcher Dates:

1st Batch: Saturday, June 29, 2024

2nd Batch: Saturday, August 10, 2024

3rd Batch: (Updated) Friday September 13, 2024

Pick up at Ensminger family farm, Princeton MN

1st Batch: Saturday evening or Monday evening, June 29th or July 1st.

2nd Batch: Saturday evening or Monday evening, August 10th or 12th.

3rd Batch: (Updated) Friday evening 6-8pm or Saturday morning 10am-Noon, Sept 13th or 14th.

Processing Options:

Estimated Weight: 4 to 6 lbs

  • Whole chicken $5.10/lb packaged weight

  • Cut up chicken option: $12/lb. You can order sets of 2 chickens cut up and packaged as leg and thighs, wings, and boneless breasts. 1 set = 1 package of 4 legs and thighs, 1 package of 4 wings, 1 package of 4 boneless breasts.

  • Feet and Necks (sold separately at pick up) $8/lb

  • Organs (sold separately at pick up) $8/lb

Step 1: Reserve your chickens with a deposit. (Note: The deposit is $10 per chicken. The additional 35/70 cents is the credit card fee) Gloriann will email you about a week before the butcher date with detailed pick up information.

Step 2: The chickens will be processed, bagged, and chilled by the Ensminger family at their farm on butcher day.

Step 3: Pick up your chickens at the Ensminger Farm near Princeton MN as discussed the week prior.

Note: The final cost of the meat depends on final weight of the bird.

Why are deposits non-refundable?

  • Once you place a deposit we consider the item “sold” and therefore deposits are non-refundable – please decide wisely.

  • They are transferable if you find someone else who wants to purchase in your place.

  • We are a family farm producing custom raised, artisan meats.

  • To assure we have your product available for you, once our products has a deposit paid on it we no longer promote it. Therefore, we do not have the ability to re-sell a product you might decide not to pick up.
